My name is Cary Cozby. I'm the PGA Golf Professional and CEO of Wichita Country Club. In June 2004, I learned I had Stage 3 Colon Cancer and embarked on the journey to become a cancer survivor. Following surgery and chemotherapy, I was declared cancer free in January of 2005.

For the past five years I have embarked on a different journey, a sunrise to sunset golf marathon, dubbed Swingin’ Fore A Coz. All proceeds from the event go to Victory in the Valley, a Wichita-based organization whose mission is to support cancer patients and their families. Since its inception, family and friends have given generously and together we have raised over $275,000.

On Wednesday, October 27, I'll participate in the 6th Annual Swingin' Fore A Coz.

You've more than likely been touched by cancer yourself. Perhaps a personal battle or that of a family member or a friend. As a cancer survivor, I have the opportunity to give back to those who helped me. And you can support Victory in the Valley, too.
