Victory in the Valley
The Cancer Center of Kansas
what We've Acheived

I was extremely fortunate to receive my treatment at the Cancer Center of Kansas here in Wichita. The level of care and quality of their staff is world class, on par with any facility in the Midwest. Additionally, my family and I were able to use the Victory in the Valley hospitality lounge across from the Cancer Center of Kansas during my five-plus months of treatment as a place to relax and basically get away from the treatment rooms. Quite simply, together they made a difficult situation the most positive experience in my life.

Your generous contributions over the last four years have gone directly to helping cancer patients make facing their own battles a little easier.

•  Purchased of two vehicles used to transport patients to-and-from treatments, logging over 200,000 miles.

• Funded the very popular Women’s Weekend Retreat, Kids Camps and the served as the presenting sponsor of Camp Victory. These weekends provide an opportunity for cancer patients to get together for fellowship and fun…and realize they are not alone in their battle.

• Provided housing to over 2,000 cancer patients/caregivers from rural Kansas who would otherwise not have the ability to come to Wichita for treatment, touching lives in (58) of the (105) counties in Kansas.

• Provided snacks, kind words or support moments to 32,000 cancer patients through treatment basket service.

• Funded the snacks and beverages and purchased additional pieces of furniture for the hospitality centre, which see over 19,000 visitors.

• Purchased neck pillows for patients to use while receiving their treatment.

• Purchased fuel and food cards for patients (that qualify).

• Rewarded the oncology nurses with a Holiday/Appreciation day as a “thank you” for their dedication & commitment.
