My name is Cary Cozby. I'm the PGA Golf Professional and CEO of Wichita Country Club. In June 2004, I learned I had Stage 3 Colon Cancer and embarked on the journey to become a cancer survivor. Following surgery and chemotherapy, I was declared cancer free in January of 2005.

The past three years I have embarked on a different journey, a sunrise to sunset golf marathon, dubbed Swingin’ Fore A Coz. The purpose of the event is to raise money to purchase items for Victory in the Valley, a Wichita-based organization whose mission is to support cancer patients and their families. Over the past three years, my family and friends have generously donated to the cause. Together we have raised over $150,000 for cancer patients in Kansas.

On Tuesday, November 4, 2008, I'll participate in Swingin' Fore A Coz IV. You've more than likely been touched by cancer yourself. Perhaps a personal battle or that of a family member or a friend. As a cancer survivor, I have the opportunity to give back to those who helped me. And now you have the chance to support Victory in the Valley, too. Your support is tremedously appreciated.
